NHPCO and the Hospice Action Network release post-election analysis. This in-depth analysis of the 2012 elections contains a drill-down on what we can expect for the end of the year 2012, and then 2013 in terms of process, issues and politics. Possible Congressional gridlock, coupled with critical federal budget challenges, will likely mean that there is less opportunity for policy makers to get into the details on impact of their decisions and we could see additional across-the-board cuts to the provider community. This means that the end of life care community will have to stay vigilant in our advocacy efforts and hospice programs will need to plan ahead for these challenges. Click here to read.
