2020 Leadership & Advocacy Conference
March 23 – 24, 2020: Preconference (Advocacy Training Sessions will be Monday afternoon, and Congressional Meetings will be all day Tuesday)
March 25 – 27, 2020: Main Conference

Registration for the 2020 Leadership and Advocacy Conference (LAC) is NOW OPEN! Learn current hospice and palliative care federal policy and advocacy techniques from experienced lobbyists, industry leaders, and grassroots professionals and join others on Capitol Hill to educate lawmakers about the value of person-centered care. 

There will be a 3-part webinar series leading up to the main event to help prepare you for the big day. Attendance at the webinars is mandatory for ALL Hill Day participants. Attendance at the in-person training sessions on March 23rd is mandatory for first time attendees, but we highly encourage all to participate. Be on the lookout for emails regarding the webinars in coming weeks. 

All advocacy events will be at the MGM National Harbor Hotel (101 MGM National Ave, Oxon Hill, MD 20745), where as the Main Conference will be hosted at the Gaylord National Resort and Convention Center (201 Waterfront Street, National Harbor, MD 20745).  The hotels are not far from each other and there is a FREE shuttle that will take you from the Gaylord to the MGM. 

A couple of things to note regarding registration:

  • If you’ve registered for the Main Conference, registration for the advocacy events is FREE. If you only plan to participate in the Advocacy/Hill Day, the cost is $125 for NHPCO Members and $175 for non members. Late Registration after March 2nd is $250 for members and $350 Non-Members.
  • There will be NO ONSITE REGISTRATION! Please be sure to complete your Congressional Meetings Form prior to the March 9th deadline so that we can schedule your meetings.
  • All Hill Day participants MUST COMPLETE THE CONGRESSIONAL MEETINGS SIGN UP FORM. Upon registration for the Main Conference or “Advocacy/Hill Day Only”, you will receive a Congressional Meetings Sign Up Form to the email address on file. Be sure to provide all of the requested information so that we can arrange meetings with your appropriate lawmakers.
