A Goodbye From Lauren Drew
While the timing is not ideal, I wanted to let the community know that after five years with HAN and NHPCO, I am moving on to a new opportunity. I am staying in the healthcare advocacy space, and going to the National Kidney Foundation to be their new Director of Congressional Relations. I am so grateful for the amazing hospice and palliative care community, who has taught me so much and helped me grow into the advocacy professional I am today. You are all inspirations, and have made me not only a better professional, but a better person.
I was hoping to have seen many of you at Advocacy Day and NHPCO’s Leadership and Advocacy Conference, but the world had other plans. I will do my best to make an appearance at the rescheduled event, and I know you are still in great hands with Mark, Sydney, and Hannah. I will continue to be an advocate for person-centered, interdisciplinary care throughout the healthcare continuum, and I know you will, too.
In the immortal words of President Josiah Bartlet, “Ok….Ok…What’s Next?”.
