Letter to House Energy and Commerce Subcommittee on Health re: Telehealth Services
NHPCO submitted a letter in response to the House Energy and Commerce Committee’s Health Subcommittee hearing on “Legislative Proposals to Support Patience Access to Telehealth Services.” NHPCO specifically endorsed the CONNECT for Health Act (H.R.4189 / S. 2016) and the Telehealth Modernization Act of 2024 (H.R.7623 / S. 3967). NHPCO cited these bills as necessary for making permanent the temporary telehealth flexibilities granted for the required face-to-face (F2F) encounter under the Medicare hospice benefit for patients enrolled in hospice after 180 days.
