NHPCO wrote to the leadership of the Senate Subcommittee on Immigration, Citizenship, and Border Safety regarding a hearing held on September 14, 2022 titled “Flatlining Care: Why Immigrants Are Crucial to Bolstering Our Health Care Workforce.” NHPCO acknowledged that immigrants are integral to the healthcare workforce–but training and education pathways are needed to bolster their participation in the workforce.
