My Hospice: Buddy’s Story
What My Hospice means is different to each individual and family we serve. For Buddy, it means being taken care of by hospice volunteers, just like his best friend, Deborah.
As Medicare’s first coordinated care model, we must protect the services like Pet Peace of Mind program under the hospice Medicare Hospice Benefit for best friends like Buddy.
Buddy loves to hang out with his best friend, Deborah. He listens to her play piano, watches TV with her, and they will even occasionally dance together. However, taking care of Buddy is a lot of work. That’s where the Pet Peace of Mind program at Columbus Hospice of Georgia and Alabama steps in.
Hospice provides support, not only to hospice patients, but also their family- including pets! Here Buddy shares what hospice means to him and Deborah:
We invite you to keep promoting the power of hospice by joining the My Hospice campaign. Please consider sharing this post with your family and friends on Facebook and Twitter, or share your My Hospice story with us.
