NHPCO submitted a letter in response to a Request for Information (RFI) from the Senate Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions (HELP) Committee on the healthcare workforce crisis. Submitted comments focused on COVID-19’s impact on the hospice and palliative care workforce, research demonstrating the dire need for more hospice and palliative care workers, worker burnout, and a need to expand the pipeline of health professionals trained in palliative and hospice care.
